Body found in River Taff after emergency services called to Cardiff city centre

A body has been discovered in the River Taff, police report.

Emergency services were seen at Coldstream Terrace, next to the River Taff in the city centre at around 7.30am on Wednesday, February 9.

A spokesperson said that the body has been identified as that of a 24-year-old non-binary person. Their next of kin have been informed.

There are no suspicious circumstances.

A spokesperson for the force said: "The body found in the River Taff, Cardiff, at around 7.30am this morning has been identified as that of a 24-year-old non-binary person.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and next of kin has been informed."
