Woman's body found in Aberdeenshire as police launch probe into 'unexplained' death

The body of a woman has been found at a house in Aberdeenshire. The alarm was raised shortly after 7.30pm on Friday, October 14 when officers were called to a property on King Edward Court in the town of MacDuff.

Police discovered the body of a woman on arrival, with the death currently being treated as 'unexplained'. A probe has now been launched into the incident and a report is due to be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.45pm on Friday, October 14, police were called to an address in King Edward Court, MacDuff, where a woman was found deceased.

“Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of her death which at this time police are treating as unexplained. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
