Woman rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by car on Scots street

A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car on a Scots street.

The 40-year-old female pedestrian was struck by the vehicle in Dundee at around 5.30pm on Friday.

The incident, which involved a white Dacia Duster, occurred on King Street near the junction with Ladywell Avenue.

She was taken to the city's Ninewells Hospital by ambulance for treatment to serious injuries.

Cops are now urging those who may have witnessed the crash or have any information to come forward.

Sergeant Willie Strachan, of the Road Policing Unit in Dundee, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time or who may have witnessed the collision.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area.

“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting incident 2646 of 18 February.”
