A young woman has been critically injured in a house fire in Adelaide's inner-north.
Emergency services were called to a fire at the back of a property on Northcote Street at Kilburn at about 6am.
A 23-year-old woman was removed from the burning home and taken by ambulance to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition with burns.
Other people who were inside at the time had safely evacuated.
Crews contained the fire in 20 minutes and investigators are still working to determine the cause.
The home was extensively damaged in the fire.
Suspicious fire at Bowden
In a separate incident, police are investigating a fire at a row of cottages in Adelaide's inner-west last night.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to reports of a house in Drayton Street at Bowden just after 8pm.
Police said the fire started in a middle unit and caused damage to the two adjoining homes.
The residents and a couple of cats managed to escape without injury.
Police said the cause of the fire is yet to be determined and have asked anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area to contact Crime Stoppers.
