Woman rushed to hospital after car ploughs into fence in Scots town

A woman has been rushed to hospital after a car ploughed into a fence in a Scots town.

Emergency services raced to Hayfield Road in Kirkcaldy, Fife, after the alarm was raised at around 1.35pm on Wednesday. Shocking pictures taken from the scene showed the silver ford vehicle smashed into a fence at the side of the road.

Bricks could be seen scattered across the street following the impact of the smash. Another image showed two officers making enquiries at the scene.

The female passenger went to hospital for treatment. The condition of the driver is currently unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving one car on Hayfield Road, Kirkcaldy, around 1.35pm on Wednesday, February 15.

“The female passenger attended at hospital for treatment. Recovery was arranged for the vehicle.”
