Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman was knocked down by a car in a hit-and-run.
The crash happened on Clifton Road in Prestwich at around 7.35pm on Sunday (December 18), police said. The woman - a pedestrian - was taken to hospital for treatment for her injuries.
The vehicle fled the scene. Police said a witness described the car as being either a black Jaguar or black Mercedes.

Officers are now appealing for further witnesses to come forward. A post on the GMP Bury North Facebook page said: "Police officers are seeking further witnesses to a fail to stop RTC on Clifton Road in Prestwich that occurred at around 19:35 on Sunday 18th December 2022.
"The vehicle collided with a pedestrian causing her to sustain injuries which required hospital treatment. A witness at the scene described the vehicle as either a black Jaguar or Mercedes.
"If you were in the area at the time and could assist police officers with their enquiries please contact us on 101 and quote log reference 2556-18122022."
