Woman reveals how she tricks 'brand snob' husband into eating food from Aldi

A wife has caused a stir on social media after sharing a sneaky hack she's been using against her 'brand snob' husband.

Laura Lincoln Atkins who posts under the username @lauraatikinson95, shared a clip on TikTok showing her trick for using cheaper items, without her partner realising.

In the clip, which has been viewed over 40,000 times, Laura can be seen pouring herbs and spices, including garlic granules, paprika and cajun seasoning from Aldi's Stonewall Mill range into empty pricier branded Schwartz bottles.

And her husband clearly hasn't been able to taste any kind of difference to date - genius!

Speaking in the video, Laura simply says: "When the husband is a brand snob..."

She then pours the contents of Aldi's 49p Stonewall Mill Oregano into the empty jar of Schwartz Oregano, which costs £1.65 in Tesco.

Numerous people have commented on the money-saving hack, with many admitting they do something similar in their own homes.

One person replied: "I've been doing this, changing things and the best bit is when they eat the named ones they don't like."

Another wrote: "I do this with ketchup! I just give the bottle a rinse and he still hasn't noticed yet."

"I do this all the time," proclaimed a third.

Someone else posted: "Brilliant idea!"

"Love this, I do this and he will never know," added a different user.

And this isn't the first time spouses have gone viral for pulling a stunt like this - we've previously seen how one man spent an entire year swapping Hellman's mayonnaise for a cheaper option, without telling his wife.

The unnamed woman desired to have a jar of Hellman's lighter in the fridge at all times, but that wasn't what she had.

Taking to Reddit, her husband confessed he'd been buying a cheaper brand from Aldi and piping the contents into the Hellmann's bottle.

He claims he's been doing this for a year and his partner has no clue.

The man shared a snap of him making the exchange on the site and captioned it, saying: "Piping the Aldi mayo into the same Hellmann's bottle we've had for a year so the missus will not know she's a commoner."
