A woman was rescued on Thursday after her car entered the water near Fota Island, Co Cork.
She was then taken to Cork University Hospital (CUH) with non-life threatening injuries.
The woman's car went into the river at Brown Island in Carrigtwohill. Gardai attended the scene at 5pm.
A Garda spokesperson said that "A car had entered the water and a female (mid-60s) was rescued and taken to CUH with non-life threatening injuries."
