A woman questioned on suspicion of the murder of a retired police officer has been told she will face no further action.
The 54-year-old was arrested over the death of Andrew McDiarmid, who died as a result of stab wounds last month.
A second suspect has since been detained under the Mental Health Act.

Emergency services were called to a home on Oldfield Way, Heswall, on the night of January 24.
Mr McDiarmid, remembered as a “true gentleman” in touching tributes following his death, was initially found with serious injuries but then died at the scene.
A post-mortem examination established the cause of the 64-year-old's death was stab wounds.
A Merseyside Police investigation led to the arrest of two people - a woman aged 54 and a man aged 21 - on suspicion of murder.
Police said they were both arrested at the scene and initially detained in custody.
The woman was then released on bail and the man taken to hospital for assessment.
She has now been told she will face no further action, while he has been detained under Section 2 of the Mental Health Act, Merseyside Police confirmed.
The force said the investigation remained ongoing.
Following his death, the family of Mr McDiarmid said the former police officer’s "love and kindness was genuine and sincere".
In a tribute, they said: " Andy was a true gentleman. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
"If you have happened to cross Andy in your life, then this loss will be a tragic blow. A loss felt by family, friends, and countless others.
"Andy enjoyed walking, cooking, a sketchy bit of DIY, and most of all pleasing others. His love and kindness was genuine and sincere.
"Andy had a herculean work ethic. He was motivated and devoted to a task. He served in the Merseyside Police for over 30 years. He truly loved his job and all those he worked with.
"This loss will leave a void in many people's lives. Fill it with love and happiness. It is what he would have wanted."
