A woman was pulled from her car after flash floods hit Merseyside.
Firefighters were called to Queens Drive in Mossley Hill after a car got stuck under the bridge. It came after heavy rain and thunderstorms hit the region at around 3.30pm today, Saturday, July 8.
The woman was pulled from her car, which had become stuck in suddenly rising flood water, by fire crews and she was placed on a raft. Pictures showed the water underneath the bridge had risen to knee height.

Across Merseyside there were a number of flash floods. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service urged people to stay away from Springwood Avenue in Allerton as the road was closed due to extensive flooding outside Allerton Hall.
A spokesperson for the emergency service warned people not to drive in the area. People also reported flooding in Garston, Prescot and the city centre.
There was also reports of a number of train delays on Wirral lines including New Brighton and West Kirby. Arriva North West also issued a statement and said there were "severe traffic issues caused by local flooding".
It said: "All Liverpool city centre services are currently subject to delays and cancellations. We apologise for the inconvenience."
The Met Office previously issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms at 9am today, which is in place until 11.59am on Saturday. Forecasters said there could be flooding of homes and businesses, fast flowing or deep floodwater, cancellations of trains and bus services and difficult driving conditions.
A spokesperson for the forecaster said: "Heavy showers and thunderstorms continuing for a time, then clearing later in the evening leaving some clear spells overnight. Winds easing and remaining dry. Feeling less muggy than last night. Minimum temperature 13 °C."
