This happened to TikTok user Courtney, who misinterpreted a question about flexibility and provided a hilarious response. In the video - which has now surpassed 230,000 views to date - she explained how she mistook the employer's common interview question.

She captioned the post: "You couldn't write it honestly."

Courtney explained: "So, I just back from a job interview and one of the questions was like, 'How's your health? Do you have any back problems? Can you lift heavy items?' - as this job involves lifting heavy things.

"I said, 'Yeah, I've worked in hospitality, worked in the pub to move a barrel, you know, all that jazz'.

"And then the next question was 'How flexible are you?'

"I went, 'Well, I can't do the splits, but I could probably do a headstand...

"She was on about hours!" She exclaimed.

"She wanted to know how flexible my shifts could be!

"I don't think I've got the job..." She added.

In a shocking turn of events and despite Courtney's assumptions about her mishap - she confirmed in the comment section that she actually secured the role.

The elated TikToker responded to fellow users who gushed about her landing the role as well as joking about her belly-laughing response.

A user added: "I work in recruitment and hear these questions all the time buuttt listening to you I was fully with you in thinking cartwheels."

"I’d hire you straight away after that," a second TikToker penned.

A second user wrote: "Congratulations on getting it! honestly this is iconic!!!"

"Thank you so much!" Courtney replied beside a laughing emoji.
