A man and a woman were found fatally shot in an apparent murder-suicide at the Warwick Allerton Hotel on the Gold Coast on the Near North Side Monday.
The two were found around 4:55 p.m. in the hotel at 140 E. Huron, Chicago police said.
Amy Bustos, 21, had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her death was ruled a homicide by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Husam Haddad, 25, also had a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The medical examiner’s office ruled his death a suicide.
Area detectives were investigating.
