Woman makes heart-breaking promise to 'heart of gold' husband killed in crash

The family of a man who died following a crash on the A470 have paid tribute to his "kind, generous and energetic" personality. Adam Michael Kenyon, 30, died following the crash which took place near Betws-y-Coed on the afternoon of Saturday, May 13.

Mr Kenyon lived in the Kinmel Bay area and police are appealing for witnesses who may have dash cam footage of the incident. His family, including his wife Kayleigh, has spoken about Mr Kenyon's dedication to his son Tommy and how he "lived life to the full" in emotional tributes.

Kayleigh said: "I will miss you deeply Adam, we had so much to look forward to which has sadly been taken away far too soon. I promise I will always put Tommy first and be the best Mum I possibly can to our beautiful son. He will never forget you. We love you and I will miss you so much my darling husband and best friend."

She added: "We would like to thank the emergency services for their attendance at the tragic scene of the collision, and the people at the scene who helped Adam. Also, his best friend Chris, who was by his side, as always doing everything he possibly could and staying with him until the end.

"Our sad loss has created such a huge void in our lives which will never be filled and shall remain with us forever. Sleep tight Adam – from all your loving family."

In a further tribute, Mr Kenyon's family said: "Adam was the son of Kevin and Claire, loving brother of three sisters, a loving grandson, uncle and most importantly, a loving husband to Kayleigh and father to Tommy – who he sadly leaves behind. Adam was a handsome young man who had so much to look forward to.

"He was extremely kind, generous and energetic. He always wanted to help others and was very generous with his time – he really did have a heart of gold.

"Adam was one of a kind, who lived life to the full and always his way. He loved his family and had a huge passion for cars/bikes and made many amazing friends along the way. He always put his family first, especially Tommy who meant the world to him."

Other tributes to Mr Kenyon, known to friends as Adzz, started flooding in soon after his death, North Wales Live reports. North Wales Police continue to appeal to anybody who witnessed the collision or may have been travelling along the A470 near Betws-y-Coed shortly before 1pm on Saturday, especially those with dash cam footage, to contact officers via webchat or by calling 101 quoting reference A071083
