Woman left with broken shoulder after being robbed as police issue urgent appeal

A woman was left with a broken shoulder after being robbed in Westhoughton. Police were called to reports of the incident near Glebe Street at around 8.30pm on May 20.

The victim had items stolen from her in what officers described as a 'particularly nasty incident' as she also sustained the injury in the attack.

Greater Manchester Police are now urgently appealing for information and have released an image of a man they want to speak to who they say is a witness to the robbery and could hold 'vital information'.

PC Kirk of Bolton Neighbourhood Crime Team said: "This was a particularly nasty incident where the victim has had items stolen from her and has sustained a broken shoulder. We're keen to speak with anyone with any information that will help assist with our enquires.”

"Please also get in touch if you can identify the man pictured or if you have any other information that could aid our investigation - including any footage you might have such as CCTV or dashcam."
