Police are appealing for information after a 28-year-old woman was assaulted following a Liam Gallagher gig in Cardiff. The woman sustained a broken jaw, which required surgery, following the incident earlier this month, South Wales Police has said.
The woman was assaulted near a cash machine outside a Tesco store in Cardiff Bay in the early hours of the morning on Friday, September 16. South Wales Police has said that large crowds were gathered in the area and, in an appeal, have asked to speak to potential witnesses or anyone who may have video footage.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "Were you in Cardiff Bay after the recent Liam Gallagher concert? Did you witness an assault outside Tesco? A 28-year-old woman was assaulted near to the Tesco cash machine during the early hours of Friday, September 16, and suffered a broken jaw which required surgery.
"Large crowds were gathered in the area and officers need to speak with anyone who may have witnessed any part of this incident or may have video footage. If you can help, please contact us on 101 or online https://orlo.uk/TDcbo quoting reference 2200314881."
