When you're buying clothes online, you never know what to expect. But one woman got more than she bargained for when she opened an order and found the item covered in a mysterious substance. The "gross" parcel left the shopper fearing she would throw up - and she suspects her order is covered in mould.
Posting to TikTok as @honeyhez, furious shopper Heather slammed Shein. She claims she received the offending item from the online retailer, much to her disgust. In her video, Heather reveals she purchased a leather top. But the inside of the garment looks to have been destroyed, as it is covered in a flaky substance.
Voicing her outrage, Heather said: "Everyone says to order from Shein, but they don't talk about the s*** that you get like this. Someone explain to me what this is. Omg. I'm going to throw up."
Her caption added: "What is this @shein_official !?! !?!" And when one shocked commenter quizzed: "What is that?" she replied: "I THINK mold!!"
However, someone else thought the mess could have been caused by a different problem. "There was a piece of paper between the skirt but it melted," they suggested.
Regardless, people were shocked by her experience. "Girl I’ve never gotten something like that," said one commenter. A second replied: "I’ve ordered from Shein for years and thankfully this has never happened to me." And a third said: "I’ve never had that happen that’s a straight up fluke."
But another worried: "Girl WHAT..... I just opened an order today with no issues but now I’m scared for my other one."
Meanwhile, a different commenter advised: "Read the reviews that's never happened to me or anyone I know." But Heather replied: "The reviews were 5 stars.. I ALWAYS read them."
When another responder suggested they did not believe her claims, Heather added: "I am legit so disgusted & I wish it wasn’t real."
