Woman killed in Dublin motorbike crash named locally

The woman killed in a motorbike crash in Dublin city centre has been named locally.

Marie Pollard (nee Farragher) was a nurse in University Hospital Galway and was in her early 60s when she died after being hit by the motorbike. The incident happened at the junction of Eden Quay and Beresford Place with the road closed for several hours afterward.

Ms Pollard lived in Galway for a number of years but was originally from the Neale in Co Mayo. She had retired from her role as a theatre nurse two years ago and had lived in the Castlegar area, Galway Beo reports.
