A pensioner who died after being knocked down in Heywood has been named.
Emergency services were called Rochdale Road East on Thursday after an 85-year-old woman was hit by a car. The woman - now named as Ruth Davenport - was taken to hospital in a serious condition, but later died from her injuries.
Speaking at the time, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed that the driver of a Mercedes stayed at the scene speak to officers. No arrests have been made.

A file in relation to Mrs Davenport's death has been passed to Rochdale Coroners' Court. An inquest will open at a later date.
A GMP spokesman said: "Officers from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for information after an 85-year-old woman died following a road traffic collision in Heywood. The woman was struck by a vehicle on Rochdale Road East at about 1.20pm on Thursday 17 March and died later in hospital.
"The driver of a Mercedes stayed at the scene to assist officers."
