A woman in her 90s was in a police car crash while crossing the road.
Merseyside Police confirmed an investigation had been launched following a crash at the junction of Pasture Road and Silverburn Avenue, Moreton at around 11.55am today, Friday, December 16. A police car responding to an emergency call was reported to have hit a shopping trolley being pushed by an elderly woman causing her to fall to the floor.
The woman, in her 90s, suffered minor injuries including cuts and grazes. She was taken by officers to hospital to be checked over as a precaution.

An investigation is underway and CCTV and witness enquiries have been carried out. The road was closed while the matter was dealt with and was reopened just after 1pm.
