Woman, in 30s, dies after four-car horror crash in Cotswolds

A Londoner has died in hospital after a four-way horror collision killed two and injured ten people on a country road in the Cotswolds.

The woman, in her 30s, became the second person to die in Friday’s crash on the B4425 at Riversmeet North near Aldsworth.

The four car smash involving a grey Mini Cooper, black Audi A3, grey Polestar 2 and a black Seat Leon, happened shortly after 12.45pm.

The woman from London was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment to serious injuries but sadly died overnight, police said.

Her next of kin have been informed.

A man, in his 50s, from nearby Cirencester was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ten other people were also taken to hospital for treatment with some still getting treatment to serious injuries.

An 18-year-old woman from Chipping Norton who was arrested in connection with the incident has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: “Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and would like to hear from anyone who hasn’t already been spoken to and who have may have witnessed the collision or the vehicles involved prior to the incident.

“Anyone who has dashcam or CCTV footage which they believe would be relevant is also asked to make contact.”
