A woman has been taken to hospital after her car flipped over during a collision with a van on the A610 in Nottingham. The road, also known as Nuthall Road, was closed for almost two hours after the collision between Nuthall Island and M1 junction 26 at around 1.15pm on Friday, March 25.
Nottinghamshire Police said the woman’s injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening. Motorists faced long delays on the approach to Nuthall Island before the westbound carriageway was eventually opened at around 2.50pm after the vehicles were recovered.
At the time, traffic monitoring site Inrix said the congestion was present towards Cinderhill for traffic heading out of Nottingham and to Kimberley on the opposite side. Routes through Bilborough and Bulwell were also congested as traffic diverted.
