A woman has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a van.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Sandy Road, at around 7.50am, on Friday, December 9 after reports of a crash. At the scene they found a van and a woman had been involved.
The woman was taken to hospital with a serious head injury. Officers confirmed that the driver stopped at the scene and is helping with enquiries.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Road closures are in place on Sandy Road and Claremont Road while emergency services attend the incident. We ask that drivers avoid the area and find an alternative route, and thank you for your patience.
"We are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation.
