Woman has pencil lead stuck in her hand for 45 years leaving Dr Pimple Popper stunned

Dr Pimple Popper has certainly seen most things in her career, but the latest episode of her hit TLC show had her saying she has now "seen it all".

The popular dermatologist, whose real name is Dr Sandra Lee, is seen in a teaser for the latest episode of the show attempted to remove a piece of lead from a patient's palm which has been stuck there for 45 years.

The intricate incision sees the doctor carefully removing a large piece of lead, much to the amazement of those in the room.

The cameras give a close up of the operation and the scenes are certainly not for the faint hearted.

After carrying out the procedure, Dr Lee tells the cameras she now feels as though she has seen it all. She says: "That is just crazy to see. Unbelievable."

She continues away from the surgery ward: "Okay well now I've seen it all. I mean this is crazy talk. This is crazy stuff. I mean, what's going on here? How could she have pencil lead that is stuck in her palm for the last 45 years?"

Fans of the show were quick to comment on the Instagram video with many stunned at how long the patient had waited to get the item removed.

"The fact that she waited 45 years. SMH," one amazed viewer wrote, while another added: "Omg a splinter hurts like hell already. How can you wait so long WHY ?! I don't get it never if i hear how long they walk around with it so weird …. "

A third was stunned and said: "Longer than I've been alive," along with a shocked face emoji.

However, a number of other viewers decided to share their own experiences, making it seem like the incident could be a lot more common than the doctor thought.

One user claimed: "I have a piece in my right hand. Same amount time."

Another added: "Hey I have some lead in my left palm! That 4th grade pencil fight did not end well for me."

And a third confessed: "I’ve got piece in my hand also for about 40 years now."

Ahead of the latest series, the doc told Mirror fans could expect an influx of gory stories to hit their screens. She said last month that the "pops keep getting bigger" with more cutting, slicing, popping and oozing set for the small screen in series nine.
