Woman gobsmacked after dress she ordered online is so tiny it 'would fit a doll'

While it can save plenty of time and avoid you having to step foot out of your home, ordering clothes online can be a risky business.

You can either find the dress of your dreams, realise the style really isn’t for you or unpack something horrifying that looks nothing like the item on the website.

One woman was stunned after ordering a £7.50 black embellished dress, from online retailer Shein, that arrived looking minuscule.

Lucy McNeill, from Cheshire, took to TikTok to share the hilariously small item in question. Revealing it from behind her back, she held the piece up against her body.

She said: “I was completely shocked.

“I did not think in the slightest that it would fit me.”

The bemused 17-year-old, who is a size XS/S, captioned the video, saying: “Sorry how am I gonna fit into that?”

One user commented: “That’s so funny … you made my day with this thank you x”.

Another wrote: “Looks like a doll dress”.

While a viewer joked: “Game changer for travel packing, you can get cheaper flight with luggage this small.”

However, many were desperate for Lucy to attempt to try the dress on regardless of its size.

Someone said: “Biggest request for part 2 I’ve ever seen on this app.”

Thankfully, she delivered and followed up with a second video showing her in the doll-sized dress. She captioned the clip, saying: “Not very PG at all”.

Lucy, who posts under the username @lucymcneillx , revealed: “I was able to get it on and it did in fact fit – but it’s not something I would want to wear out!”

While it was skimpy, the video assured fans that the bizarre item was stretchy and able to be worn by humans.

Viewers were a fan of the final look, with Lucy pairing it with black underwear and slicking her hair back into a ponytail.

A person wrote: “Okay but it actually looks so good”.

“Maybe not PG but it looks incredible”, said another.

And, one follower asked: “When you took it off did it shrink back to its original size or is it now more human-sized?”

Lucy replied, despairing, and explained that it shrunk right back to its tiny size.
