Woman given 'vile' leftover roast dinner at Toby Carvery

A woman was horrified after a waitress at her local Toby Carvery gave her a "vile" cling film wrapped roast dinner to take home with her.

Trinity Martin, 18, visited the Maes Knoll branch in Bristol on Sunday (June 18). She said she and her family asked for a box to take their leftovers home in, but were told they couldn't have one.

Instead Trinity says what was left of her meal was wrapped in cling film before being handed back to her. Photos show all components of the dinner bound together in a ball underneath the clear wrapping.

Trinity, who works as an eyelash technician, said she threw the food in the bin once she got home. She said: "It looked vile. We were very shocked.

"We were laughing because everyone around us were giving weird looks. We thought the waitress was joking at first but she wasn't.

Trinity said what she was given looked 'vile' and 'gross' (Trinity Martin / SWNS)

"We brought it home because we didn't want to be rude, but we didn’t actually eat it because it looked gross."

Toby Carvery has been approached for comment but had not responded by the time of publication.
