A hilarious video shows the moment a woman gets her head stuck in a sofa after an Easter Sunday bottomless brunch ended in a day to remember.
Julie Jackson, 47, was celebrating her birthday with some pals in a Prosecco fulled brunch when her friend Lindsey Clark hilariously got stuck head first behind a sofa with her legs in the air.
Lindsey was at the TwelveTwentyFive restaurant in North Shields, North Tyneside when the 40-year old had been attempting to retrieve her friend's jacket that had fallen behind the furniture.
Unfortunately, after trying to be a good friend, she lost her footing and got wedged upside down and Lindsey was then caught on camera with her legs flailing in the air while two young employees tugged on her shins in order to set her free in dramatic scenes.
Support worker Julie, of Newcastle, said: "We were out celebrating my birthday. We were drinking all sorts but a lot of Prosecco.
"My other friend's jacket fell behind the sofa so Lindsey reached down to get it and fell behind the sofa.
"She was stuck for about ten minutes in total."
Staff at the restaurant rescued Lindsey to safety as they quickly went about tugging her shins to free her.
Julie added: "The staff were all lovely, they could have been funny about it but they were really nice. It's not a birthday I'll forget."
Fortunately, Lindsey sees the funny side of the video and according to her friend Julie always wanted to be famous but didn't expect it to happen this way.
And after Julie shared the hilarious video on her Facebook where it has been liked 2,000 times, she said: "I didn't expect to get that reaction.
"Lindsey finds it hilarious, it's just a bit of a laugh. She's always wanted to be famous, although I don't think this is how she expected it to happen."
