A woman who woke up to find her car had been stolen was able to get it back within hours, thanks to a clever hack. TikTok user zoepettitx shared a video on TikTok as she and her friends went on a mission to 'steal her car back', and it has been watched more than 2.5million times.
In the video, Zoe revealed tha she had left an Apple AirTag in her Ford Fiesta, so as soon as she saw it was missing she was able to use her phone to track exactly where it was, reports MEN. AirTags are designed to help you find commonly lost objects - such as keys.
In the video, Zoe shared how she realised her car was missing at 9am. She checked her phone five minutes later and it showed where her Fiesta was
By 12.45pm Zoe decided to take action. Her two friends picked her up and Zoe said “we’ve seen enough crime docs, let’s get it back ourselves.”
By 2.30pm Zoe and the girls found the car and called the police.

Three hours later, after a police escort, Zoe was back in her car.
Zoe admits her motor “sustained a few injuries” but is now back safe where it belongs.

Viewers went mad over Zoe’s ordeal calling it “truly incredible content.” One said: “Note to self - buy an AirTag and leave in my car.”
KelseyCraceling said: “Honestly never even wanted an AirTag before but you’ve sold it to me! This should be an advert.”
Another user, Chloe, said “Putting an AirTag in your car is genius”.
