Woman gets 'cute' tattoo in Thailand - but it looks completely different two years on

Getting a tattoo on holiday can be a fun and creative way to remember a special trip. However, it's always best to do your research before choosing an artist. One woman has unfortunately been left with a tat that looks completely different from the one she'd opted for during a trip to Thailand in 2020, taking on a much different and fuller shape.

Holidaymaker Nancy Gill had gone for a "cute fine line tattoo", showing a titchy tiny airplane looping around a delicate infinity sign. Sadly, the design now looks far different two years on, with the lines having thickened noticeably. The little airplane now looks so blurred, that it's difficult at first to make out what it was once supposed to be, with some believing it more resembles a penguin than anything else.

Nancy has since shared before and after pics of the ink via TikTok - where she goes by the username @nancygill99 - with her video clocking up more than 791.7K views at the time of writing and counting.

She wrote: "When you get a cute fine line tattoo in Thailand in 2020, [and it] looks like this two years later."

The vid has sparked great alarm among Nancy's TikTok followers, one of whom declared they'd "cry" if such a thing ever happened to them. Another person remarked, "it looks like a nativity angel", while a third joked that it "looks more like a drunk fly now."

Luckily, Nancy was able to see the funny side of things, joking with one follower that she'd "always wanted a Pingu on my ankle."
