Woman gets called a 'demon' after having entire body tattooed and chest implants

A self-confessed body modification fanatic has said people have "harassed" her in the past over the way she looks - but she's happy in her own skin regardless of her critics.

Ahnvala, 34, got her first tattoo in 2009 and has since had her entire body inked, as well as undergoing procedures such as having arm and chest implants and having her tongue split.

The woman loves the way she looks and is confident with her appearance but has claimed that some people don't see her form of self-expression in the same way, with some even calling her a "demon".

However, others are more accepting of her unique look, as she also said that one young child previously said she looked like a "superhero".

She said: "Sometimes [I get] a fair bit of sexual harassment, and I've been called a demon.

"I also get complimented, sometimes on specific aspects of what I have or my overall image. I think my favourite so far has been a small child asking their mother if I'm a superhero after seeing me – just cute."

Ahnvala, from the US, said her first tattoo was actually a matching piece with her partner at the time, and although she later got it covered up, she doesn't regret the ink as it was what led her to get more tattoos.

Now, the woman only has "tiny spaces" on her body that are ink-free.

She added: "I got a matching tattoo with my partner and I don't regret it, even though it was my first cover-up, because it got me started.

"In 2014, I got my tongue split and subdermal implants, and I've even done the soles of my feet – there are just tiny spaces left without tattoos now.

"The eight implants were done in two sessions, but the two large chest implants were done in one. They take a couple of weeks to heal after each session, then the sutures can be removed – healing is the most intense part."

Ahnvala says the most painful modification was her chest implants, but noted that having her tongue and gums tattooed was a scary experience because the swelling made it difficult for her to breathe.

She explained: "I think a lot of [healing] rests in the ability to turn your mind, as well as allowing yourself time and space to heal. For me, slowing down to heal isn't always easy.

"Both [my tongue and gums] are tattooed and this was done fairly quickly by injection. Though for the first few hours after, there was a lot of swelling and it was hard to breathe or swallow.

"My tongue was done in two sessions, but I think that was definitely better than one given the swelling."

The woman spends a lot of her time travelling and doesn't currently have a partner as she hasn't been able to focus on finding someone special while out on the road - but she would be open to love providing her potential suitor could accept her for who she is.

She said: "I've lived a lot of my life alone, so it hasn't been my focus – but I'm open to it, only for the right person.

"Someone who likes my modifications and isn't trying to see past them. My body and vision keep evolving as I am inspired and alter my path."
