A shopper has turned to Tiktok in frustration after buying a summer top which turned out so small it wouldn't go over her chest. In a post on the social media site the disappointed customer simply says: "Thanks Primark."
Despite the arms of the pretty size 16 green and purple top sitting perfectly the rest of the top was a different issue. Instead of it sliding over her body it stopped across the top of her chest and would go no further.
The video shows her trying on the brightly coloured summer top. Then the woman. who posts under the username @taylormariehunt, gives a sarcastic thumbs up to the camera.
According to HullLive she then adds in the caption the hashtag #primarkfail. The video was watched hundreds of times after it was uploaded on Tuesday.
Users were quick to comment. Sasha Hunt posted: "Omg. I bought this too!!! Same thing happened to me!! It’s sizing is ridiculous." While Annette Michelle Rei added: "I’m a size 14/16 and had to get a size 18/20 top just so it would fit over my 36G bust. Don’t get me started on the bra selection they don’t have!!"
A Primark spokesperson told the Mirror it takes the sizing of its clothing very seriously and follows Size UK data to inform the sizing of all its designs. It encouraged customers to get in touch if they had any feedback.
The spokesperson said: "The fit of our clothing is really important to us and we are always working with both our suppliers and technologists in our quality team to ensure consistency.
"We continue to fit our designs using Size UK data as standard but always encourage customers to get in touch with us if they have concerns about sizing and we will happily look into their query."
