A woman's body has been found at a home unit in Sydney's west, with detectives treating her death as suspicious.
Emergency services were called to the residence in Merrylands after concerns were raised about a woman's welfare.
Officers from the Cumberland Police Area Command arrived at the Newman Street unit about 11.30pm on Sunday and discovered the body.
The woman has not yet been formally identified.
Police say officers spoke to a 38-year-old man at the scene who continues to assist their investigation.
No charges have been laid.
With a crime scene established, the premises will be examined by forensic specialists.
