A woman has died and her two young boys taken to hospital after an incident at a home in Tasmania.
Emergency services were called about 10am on Monday to a residence at Riverside in Launceston where the woman, aged in her mid-30s, was pronounced dead.
Police say the incident was not suspicious and they do not believe anyone else was involved.
The woman's children, aged one and four, were taken to the Launceston General Hospital and are in a stable condition.
Tasmania Police Inspector Craig Fox said family members raised the alarm after the woman didn't turn up to work.
He expressed his condolences to her family and friends.
"It was a really traumatic scene, a really tough time for the family and for emergency services," he told reporters.
"Our priority at the moment is the welfare of the children."
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
