A woman sensed someone was following her before she was sexually assaulted.
The woman was walking along the A56 Chester Road in Helsby, outside Ellesmere Port, late on Sunday night when she got the feeling someone was following her. The woman was then grabbed, pulled to the ground and sexually assaulted by a man believed to be in his 40s.
The woman fought off her attacker and fled on foot to a nearby address. The suspect is believed to be white, tall and thin with a bald spot on his head.

He was wearing all black clothing, Cheshire Live reports.
DC Kelly Birch said: “The victim was shaken up by her ordeal and is being supported by specialist officers. Police have also stepped-up patrols in the area to provide reassurance to the public.
“I’d urge anyone who may have witnessed the victim or suspect walking along Chester Road to contact police with any information that may help. We’re also appealing to anyone with dashcam footage who was in the area on February 12 between 10.45pm and 11.45pm to make contact with us.”
