A homeless woman has been living in her car on a beach due to the lack of available housing.
Sharon Crandall moved to Kerry, Ireland, 22 years ago from the US and has been parked up along Dingle beach for two months.
The 54-year-old has refused to take up an offer of emergency accommodation because she would have to give up her two cats.
She described her pets as her "family" and would not budge on refusing to abandon them, reports the Irish Mirror.
But she added life in her car - which began on July 8 - is "up and down, it's hard".

Sharon has all of her belongings in the boot and sleeps on a duvet on the backseat.
Her cats' food bowls are on the dashboard, while she stores her supplies in a cool box.
She said a few days ago she had to wait two hours until a "monsoon" calmed down so she could run around the car and get into the back to go to sleep.
"That's how I live now," she told a reporter at her car.
She said: "I have been living in my car since July 8, with two cats, and I have not gone to emergency housing because you have to give up your family; your pets are your family.
"And so I have been living at the beach here, you know, for almost two months now, and it's up and down, it's hard."
Sharon said her landlord wanted the property back to retire in.
She explained: ''I'm not homeless because I didn't pay my bills, or did something wrong.
"Or I wasn't organised. I've lived here for almost 20 years. I am homeless because there aren't any long-term housing options in this area.
"The woman that I was renting from was decent. She had bought the house for retirement.
"And, you know, when I signed the lease, I would only have a year. She did a proper notice to quit.
"And she has been very nice. But it's her house, and she wanted it back."
Sharon added the unfortunate timing of her losing her home during tourist season meant her options dwindled further.
She said the area is set up to attract visitors, including properties being used as AirBnBs while local people are applying for housing every day.
She added that she sent many TDs around Kerry to help her but rarely got a response.
The Mirror has contacted Kerry County Council for comment.
