However, such get-togethers can leave some bad impressions as well. A woman recently approached Reddit’s well-known r/AITA community for advice on a recent row she experienced with her friend, Sadie, and if she was being a jerk to her.
As the friends were chatting, OP’s (Original Poster) friend pulled her aside and broke some unfortunate news. Sadie told her that she was going to be leaving in September. Of course, the woman got weepy as they had been friends for a long time and had been through a lot together. They planned to spend as much time as they could together during the summer and go on trips.
Then, Sadie told the woman another piece of news – she gave away her ticket to the Taylor Swift concert. The reason was that since she’s leaving, she wants to have more “bonding” time with her sister. The mood changed immediately, as the woman was shocked. She’s been a Swiftie fan for years, and a decade ago had to sell her ticket as she couldn’t go due to a change of plans. Her mom was in bad health, and she needed money to help with the bills.
Given the woman’s history in this perspective, Sadie’s actions felt like rubbing salt into a wound, and on top of that, she felt betrayed. Since the lady didn’t expect this at all, she was stunned. To make matters worse, Sadie just transferred the money back to her for the ticket right then and there. After a couple of short moments, Sadie exclaimed “I know you understand”.

The woman retaliated, saying that what Sadie did was sneaky, and a gross thing to do. Even though the woman had paid for the ticket, the initial purchase was made by Sadie, meaning that the tickets were in her possession. She couldn’t do anything in this scenario. Meanwhile, Sadie was unfazed and “shrugged” as if what she did was normal. After their brief conversation, the woman asked Sadie to leave right then and there, and not to come back on the 4th of July.
The woman had plans to hold a party on that particular date, and Sadie was no longer invited. The antagonist stomped off; she didn’t think that her actions would have such repercussions. Hilariously, Sadie not only thought that her behavior was valid, but had the nerve to text OP and tell her that she was free to apologize to her whenever she wanted. In Sadie’s world, the woman was ruining Sadie and her sister’s bonding trip.
