A woman is fighting for her life after a car crash.
Lancashire Police confirmed that officers were called to the scene of a crash on the A59 at Hutton. Officers were called at around 12.40pm on Saturday, January 21, after reports of a crash between a Mercedes C220 and a Ford KA at the junction of Liverpool Road and Lindle Lane.
The passenger in the Ford, a 92-year-old woman from Hutton, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Royal Preston Hospital where she is currently in a serious condition. The drivers of the Ford, an 88-year-old woman, and the Mercedes, a 21-year-old man, were not seriously injured in the crash.

No arrests were made following the crash. Sgt Marc Glass, of the serious collision investigation unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the injured woman and her family at this difficult time.”

"The passenger in the Ford, a 92-year-old woman from Hutton suffered serious injuries. She was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital where she remains in a serious condition.
"The Ford driver, an 88-year-old woman from the local area and the Mercedes driver, a 21-year-old man from Preston were not seriously injured. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident."
