A woman from Wirral has said a 'huge thank you' to the man who revived her dog with CPR after it collapsed on Wallasey beach.
Sharon Whitfield, who lives in Wallasey, was walking her two dogs on the beach on Sunday, March 27, when one, aged 17, collapsed to the floor. Sharon feared that this would be the end for her beloved dog as they were in such a secluded area.
But to her delight and relief, a man 'came from nowhere' and began performing CPR on Daisy, successfully reviving her and restarting her heart. Sharon barely had time to thank the 'guardian angel' before rushing her to the vets, where she discovered that Daisy has a serious heart condition which caused the collapse.

In the rush to the vets Sharon was not able to get the man's name, so she appealed to Facebook and thanked him from the bottom of her heart.
Sharon said: "I need to say a huge thank you to a man on the beach today. I had just got there with my two dogs today and one of my dogs just collapsed. This man came from nowhere as quick as a flash and got on his knees and started doing CPR on her and brought her back, he was so lovely with her.
"I rushed her straight to the vet and it turns out she has a serious heart problem. Thanks to this man I would have lost my girl today, I didn’t get his name or anything, I think he had a little fluffy dog with him.
"But he was definitely our guardian angel. My girl is 17 this year, and I will have her a bit more longer, but no more walks for her.
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Sharon's post resonated deeply with many, and her local community was understandably overwhelmed at the news of this one man's perfectly timed goodwill.
One commenter said: "That's just so lovely to hear that there was this kind caring man on hand to help. I do hope your dog is feeling better after your dreadful ordeal."
Another commented: "Wow! He was in the right place at the right time, how amazing. Hope your lovely dog is ok."
But for some Sharon's experience resonated on a much deeper level.
One commenter was obviously touched by the ordeal and the happy ending: "He was obviously meant to be there at that moment in time. Most definitely your guardian angel! I am sorry to hear that your dog is so poorly.
"We're going through similar with our elderly collie & it's so very difficult. He is our absolute world!! If you hadn't made that trip to the beach today, then she may have collapsed elsewhere and you could have been helpless.
"What an absolute hero! Sending lots of love to you & your special girl."
