A woman has described the awkward moment she ended up on the same maternity ward as her ex and his wife.
Posting on TikTok, Maddy filmed a video of her in the ward mouthing to song lyrics “what a time to be alive” and said the ex was from high school.
In a follow-up video, she explained she had had “a lot of complications” with her pregnancy so she was taken to the hospital to be checked up.
She said the ward was really “busy” but she was pleased to be there because she got her own room.

“Then they walk in… we make eye contact,” she recalled.
“Luckily there’s a curtain in between us but it was just so awkward - like I just felt like I couldn’t talk. So Cody [her partner] and I were literally sat there whispering.
“I just thought it was pretty ironic and awkward.”
People seemed to agree with her. Commenting on one of the videos, one person wrote: “I would rather have a baby outside in a car than in a room with another person.”
Another said: “Oh nooo. I don’t care how far into labor I’m in.. I’m walking out. We will deliver in the parking lot. Let’s go.”
And a third joked: “That’s when you say ‘I haven’t seen you in nine months.’”
We can think of better places to see an ex, too.
