Woman drops three stone in eight weeks after looking in the mirror

A woman could not stop eating cheese toasties after piling on the pounds.

Jess Cooke, from Hightown, said that while in sixth form she started eating more due to the stress of her exams. The 24-year-old said that she had always been healthy and fit but let her eating habits slip away from her in school.

At her heaviest Jess reached 10 stone and said she looked in the mirror and knew she had to do something. In 2020 Jess decided to change her life around after subscribing to a fitness app and managed to drop three stone in just eight weeks.

Jess said: "Going into sixth form I was just eating and I think I became lazy, then I looked in the mirror and I thought I can't look like this anymore. I would just snack all the time, I had something in front of my face constantly.

"I never had much of a sweet tooth back then, but I would eat crisps and chocolate bars. The main one was I used to eat toasties all the time, which is not a problem, you can still eat them but not all day every day."

Jess is now a lifeguard on the Disney Cruise line and said that after losing the three stone she has more energy. She contacted POW8R, an online fitness app, to transform her lifestyle.

Owned by couple Callum Webb and Holly Braithwaite, POW8R supports its clients in over 40 different countries with their health and fitness goals, helping them to transform their bodies and change their mindsets, lifestyles, and habits to live a healthier and more balanced life.

Jess said: "It was just not how I wanted to live, I had no energy and did not feel like myself in my own skin, it was not very comfortable to live like that. I'm not going to lie it was one of the hardest things I have had to do mentally.

"I feel like you always have that kind of mental block and sometimes need that extra push. Now I'm eating 1,500 calories a day, tracking all my food, and doing five workouts a week with Callum and Holly.

“I wanted to change my whole lifestyle to be healthier and feel good in my own skin and I achieved a serious transformation in just eight weeks".
