There are plenty of food habits that often divide us, from the age-old debate of whether to keep condiments like ketchup in the fridge to how you pronounce the word 'scone'. Some culinary differences are dependant on where you're from, as each country, state or even town will have their own way of cooking certain dishes or foods.
While Americans often slam British food for being plain and boring, we Brits are often perplexed by the unusual creations that those from the States love. It's not just us either, as one Aussie has shared her horror at an American woman's bizarre 'carnivore crack' recipe that's left many people perplexed.

Taking to TikTok to share her response to the strange snack, Wynter Jenson filmed herself reacting to the 'carnivore recipe' which sees the woman melt a huge amount of butter before adding bacon and freezing it.
Wynter captioned the clip with the words "Why America? Why must you do this to yourselves?" before adding "i will not be following for more carnivore recipes. thank you".
The TikToker used the 'stitch' feature on the app to share the original video, alongside her own reaction. She looks visibly distressed as the American melts a whopping load of butter - "two sticks" according to her measurements - before adding the liquid to a baking tray that's lined with parchment paper.
The woman then tops the tray of butter with "bacon sprinkles" before putting it in the freezer for a "good few hours" to reveal a frozen slab of bacon-infused butter.
The American tells her followers to simply "break it apart" when it's done, "just like you would with bark". She then goes onto explain the "caramelised brown bits" on the bottom of the frozen butter with "delicious bacon bits" on top.
Australian-based Wynter puts her hand over her mouth in disgust when watching the video, and looks visibly concerned as the American woman talks TikTok users through her controversial recipe.
Hundreds of people have flooded to the comments section of Wynter's response video to share their own disdain for the recipe, with most people being equally as horrified as the Australian.
One person wrote "this is leftover pan grease" while another added "THEY ARE EATING STRAIGHT BUTTER".
Plenty of vegans chimed in on the debate, with one writing: "Those videos make me so happy for being vegan honestly".
Another TikTok user said: "mm i love me some butter with cold nasty bacon chunks".
The woman who posted the original recipe, who goes by the username @ itscourtneyluna and called the carnivore crack 'very addictive', posts regularly about the so-called 'carnivore diet' and claims that she is 'animal based' when it comes to her food habits.
Courtney claims that she has lost 25 pounds since following the trend, which involves eating all meat and no vegetables, but after the controversial diet went viral back in 2018, many health shared their concerns over the lifestyle as vegetables are an integral part to a balanced diet.
Abby Langer, a registered dietician, wrote on Self.com in 2018: "While I’ve seen a lot of extreme diets come and go, this one is pretty radical. Its proponents’ demonization of carbs, gluten, grains, and legumes is truly at a whole new level, despite the fact that the diet has yet to be studied, so there’s no research supporting those claims".
