Woman discovers she’s been eating ice pops 'wrong' for 42 years - and she’s not alone

With temperatures soaring across the UK, Brits are looking for alternative means to keep cool with temperatures expected to soar up to 40C later this week.

Air conditioning, ice cold water and even ice lollies are working out as holy grails whilst coping with the blaring sunshine.

One woman was left gobsmacked as she made the shocking discovery that she's beating ice pops wrong for 42 years - which are undoubtedly essential in this heat.

Sam Bearfoot shared how she was stunned when she stumbled across a video of a woman showing the game-changing life hack of easily snapping an ice poll into two pieces - and ready to enjoy the sweet treat with ease.

The original video saw a clip of a woman simply snapping a red ice pop - as if it was as easy as ripping paper.

"You literally take them..." The woman said as she snapped the piece into two.

Sam Bearfoot - who has gained a large following on social media, including accounts, such as, TikTok and Instagram - shared her reaction to the shocking discovery and quickly went to investigate.

The woman filmed a quick clip as she rushed down the stairs to her kitchen and retrieved a slush puppy-flavoured lolly from her freezer.

"If this works..." Sam said as she shook her head.

As easy as in the first video, the TikToker simply snapped the yellow ice lolly in half.

Despite the ease, Sam was initially gobsmacked about the shocking discovery - and even proceeded to swear at the ordeal.

"Ahhh for f*** sake," she fumed.

"42 years I've been using my teeth," she sighed.

Whilst she was initially disappointed by having eaten ice pops wrong for a jaw-dropping total of 42 years - she wasn't alone.

In a state of shock, users on TikTok took to the comment section - and also shared how they were also none the wiser.

One user penned: "Don't worry your not the only one that's just learnt something new lol."

"46 here and been using my teeth or scissors!!" A second fumed.

"My entire childhood was a lie," another commented beside a laughing and crying emoji.
