A woman who discovered deepfake AI-generated porn of herself believes it was created by a man she met on a dating app.

"He would comment on my photos, like, say, 'thank you,' 'you're so beautiful.' Comment on photos with my son, like, you know, 'he's so handsome,'" Alyssa Rosa of South Jersey told 6abc.

Rosa turned to the channel's Investigative Team after she was made aware of the images by a woman who saw them on her boyfriend's phone and contacted Rosa via social media, 6abc reported.

"One thing that really stuck with me when in the screenshot she sent me is that he said, 'I made so many clips of what that ***** would do.' Like, it's disgusting. Like, how dare you?,'" Rosa declared.

There are several pieces of state and federal legislation targeting deepfakes.

In Pennsylvania, Rep. Madeleine Dean introduced No Fakes Act, which would protect victims of the AI-generated content, and, later this month, House Bill 125 goes into effect and prohibits AI from being used to create sexually explicit and child sexual abuse images.

The Senate also recently passed the Take Down Act, which will force social media platforms to remove sexual images, including deepfakes, within 48 hours of being contacted by the victim. It still needs to pass in the House to go into law.
