A woman has died in hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow last month.
Emergency services raced to Elmbank Street, at its junction with St Vincent Street in the city, after the alarm was raised at around 8.15pm on Thursday, February 2.
The collision involved a grey VW Tiguan car and the 64-year-old female pedestrian. She had been in critical condition at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but tragically passed away on Wednesday, March 1.
Cops initially launched an appeal to help identify the woman. A detailed description was released before she was identified by officers five days later.
Following the confirmation of her death, police are continuing to appeal for information.
Road Policing officer, Constable Amanda McKay, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died and everyone affected by this crash.
“Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and I would like to thank everyone who has assisted so far.
“I would appeal to anyone with any information who has not yet spoken to us to get in touch.”
