A woman has died after being hit by a car on the M8 motorway in Glasgow.
The 49-year-old passed away the scene near junction 8 at 7.10pm yesterday.
The section of road was closed until 2am this morning to allow accident investigators to examine the area.

Police have confirmed the woman was a pedestrian and was struck by a white BMW 5 Series close to the slip for Coatbridge Road.
The 41-year-old driver was taken to Monklands Hospital as a precaution.
Sergeant Nicholas Twigg said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who has died and our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of what happened continue.
“We are asking anyone who saw the woman before the crash or saw what happened to get in touch. Anyone with dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation is also asked to contact us.”
