A woman has died after taking unwell on a Glasgow road. Emergency services raced to Bilsland Drive in Maryhill after the alarm was raised at around 9.10am on Friday, July 1.
Ambulance crews attended and the 60-year-old lady was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. Cops have now confirmed the tragic news that she sadly died a short time later.
Police say the death is currently being treated as "unexplained", however they do not currently believe there was any suspicious circumstances. They say a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal in due course.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.10am on Friday, July 1, 2022, officers were called to a report of a 60-year-old woman having become unwell in Bilsland Drive, Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended and she was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where she died a short time later.
"The death is being treated as unexplained, however, there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances at this stage. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
