A 33-year-old woman has died after the car she was travelling in crashed into a Tesla, left the road and went onto a railway track in London, police say.
Greater London's Metropolitan Police said emergency services were called to the crash near the Park Royal underground station on the Piccadilly Line just before 4am on Monday.
"It was reported that two cars, a Range Rover and a Tesla, had been involved in a collision and the Range Rover had left the road and gone onto the railway line," a police spokesman said.
"It is believed that the Tesla was stationary at the time."
The police spokesman said the woman, believed to have been a passenger in the Range Rover, died at the scene.
The driver of the Range Rover, a 23-year-old man, was taken to hospital in a critical condition, police said.
Another passenger in the Range Rover, a 26-year-old woman, sustained non life-threatening injuries.
The police spokesman said a 56-year-old man, believed to have been with the stationary Tesla, was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
The crash forced a section of the Piccadilly Line to be suspended and the A40 westbound was closed.
Police are calling for witnesses to call the serious collision investigation unit.
