A woman has died after she was found by neighbours injured and unconscious in the driveway of a home in Sydney's southwest.

Paramedics were called to Bradshaw Avenue in Moorebank early Friday morning but were unable to resuscitate the 43-year-old.

Homicide detectives have established a crime scene, with specialist officers examining a smashed window at the home.

Police say the woman suffered a serious laceration to her left arm but there were no other obvious injuries.

Several witnesses are assisting with the investigation but no charges have been laid.

Police are calling for anyone with information about the woman's death to come forward and will await the results of a post-mortem.
