Woman claims Primark earrings made a chunk of her ear fall off in viral clip

A woman claims her Primark earrings made a chunk of her ear fall off.

Madi Jose used her page on TikTok to show others how her ears looked after wearing jewellery from the High Street clothing store.

Her swollen and inflamed ears were shown to the world after she decided to display the results in video and pictures.

"Don't buy Primark earrings!" she instructed her followers and pictured her swollen ear lobes.

Around 995,000 people have already viewed the video so far.

In a second clip she showed the earring closer which attracted 31,000 views.

In the TikTok flick Madi said: "My ear's feeling a bit sore. So I've just taken my earrings out and half of my ear has come out with my earring.

"It's not pus, it's my actual ear and a chunk of it has gone. And I've taken them all out and they're all starting to do it."

After zooming in on the jewellery and its impact, she showed followers the red hole in her ears.

A student at college, she was also in the middle of dyeing her hair and her three ear piercings all looked painful and bloody.

The store is know for its fast fashion and cheap accessories, but she urged others not to purchase earrings.

They were quick to agree and shared their experiences about its jewellery.

Thousands of people added their clips with people claiming the same thing had happened to them.

One follower wrote: "Your ('re) extremely calm considering. I would be screaming and having a fainting episode.

"I've never had a problem with them before guys. Just don't buy them.'

And another: "MINE DID THE SAME THING!!!!!!'

One wrote: ''Omg same I have scars because of it now. I was so scared. Never again will I trust cheap earrings.''

Someone else added: "This happened to me!! Luckily it does still heal but I was terrified because I had a hole in my ear."

Followers were keen to suggest cheap earrings were the issue and insisted she should always wear gold or silver plated jewellery.

One said: "As people are saying, only buy gold or silver plated earrings. If it doesn't say either of those on the packet put it back on the shelf.

A Primark spokesperson said: "Every Primark product range is tested independently to ensure the relevant safety and quality standards are met.

"We would ask the customer to get in touch with us directly so we can investigate the matter further."

The Mirror reported in May how the store was selling shoes for £4.

But it was criticised after the footwear was described as the ' ugliest ever ' as one shopper said they would 'never ever put these on my feet'.

Some shoppers had nice things to say about the shoes, which come in an array of colours and look very similar to another derided type of footwear - the Crocs clogs.

But while a pair of Crocs will set you back £40, Primark are selling these slip-ons for just £4 - but the design did not please everyone.

One shopper was so displeased that they took a picture of the shoes and shared them on the Facebook page Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, and soon a fierce debate was sparked online.

Others didn't hold back in their comments about the shoes

Sharon Brannigan wrote: "Never, ever, ever will I put these on my feet - no way."

And Suz Hufton-Milnes blasted: "Ask yourself why they are £4. They are the ugliest shoes ever."
