Woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann finally 'getting the truth' according to private investigator

The young woman who believes she might be Madeleine McCann is "happy" and is finally "getting the truth", according to a private investigator working closely with her.

Julia Wendell, 21, sparked an internet storm split by outrage and support for her after sharing what she claimed to be "evidence" suggesting she may be Madeleine McCann.

She now resides at an undisclosed location in California with a private detective and self-professed medium, Dr. Fia Johansson, who has been known to help US cops in missing persons cases in the past.

The medium decided to move her to a safe house after alleged death threats were sent at Julia, and Dr. Johansson claimed there was a "price on her head”.

Earlier this week, Dr. Johansson shared new images of Julia - looking much happier - playing the piano at her luxury safe house, which is allegedly owned by the investigator.

On Thursday, images on Dr. Johansson's Instagram story showed Julia jumping into a car as the pair continued to investigate who she really is.

Dr Johansson wrote on the posts that Julia was at "peace" now she is out of Poland and in safety and that they are "getting the truth".

She wrote: "Julia enjoying the sunlight. I'm so happy for this beautiful angel that finally found some peace.

"Past seven days, she has been so anxious, so worried, and so lonely. At this moment, she is happy she is not alone, and she is getting the truth."

Julia's family in Poland has stuck by their denial of her claims and according to Dr Johansson, are refusing to take a DNA test.

The private detective and her team have been in Wroclaw where she claimed they found no hospital records for Julia relating to the first five years of her life.

When Julia first appeared online more than one month ago, she claimed she did not remember large parts of her childhood.

At this point, it is understood that Kate and Gerry McCann have not taken part in a DNA test, nor have they spoken publicly about Julia’s claims.

Julia did however do her own DNA test and was hoping to compare it to that of other missing children to figure you who she is.
