A 23-year-old woman will face court charged over failing to report the murder of a Newcastle man.
Homicide detectives said 54-year-old Graham Cameron was stabbed to death before a fire was lit in an attempt to conceal the crime in July last year.
A woman was arrested in Stockton on Tuesday after Homicide Squad Detectives from Newcastle Police searched a Stockton home.
She was charged with concealing a serious indictable offence.
Mr Cameron's body was found after emergency services were called to a unit fire at Stockton just before dawn on July 26 last year.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze before finding the body in the ashes of the unit. Specialist police later determined the fire had been deliberately lit.
Initially it was thought Mr Cameron had died as a result of the fire, homicide detectives said in May.
Investigators now believe Mr Cameron was stabbed to death and a fire was lit to destroy the crime scene.
A 22-year-old man who was charged with Mr Cameron's murder remains before the courts.
The woman was due to appear before Newcastle Local Court on Tuesday.
